A Different Holiday Choice
Celebrate the happiness that friends are always giving, make everyday a holiday and celebrate just living! Amanda Bradley
I think that most of us get so involved in the very process of living that celebration is not always remembered. But probably what is more correct is that we believe we need a “reason” to celebrate. Most traditions of the world have dedicated certain days as holiday and celebration times. We very often celebrate “special” events that have meaning for us. But how often do we give ourselves permission to just celebrate life; to celebrate those people that enrich our lives; to celebrate the wonder of ourselves?
I am aware that the events happening in our world aren’t encouraging feelings of celebration. For many of us we see a world that we want changed. We want a different experience of prosperity, love, and peace for the world and for ourselves individually.
If you can pause a moment and just think about many of the facial expressions you see about that are reflecting concern about the state of our planet. Now I ask you to think about the facial expression you see about you during a celebration time. Quite a difference isn’t there! Can you image the positive energy that is generated through celebration? Isn’t this the energy that we want in our lives and in our world?
I am aware that most resolutions are made during the New Year, but this year I am starting early:
v I will find something everyday to celebrate even if it seems absurd.
v I will share with the wonderful people around me how they add to the happy celebration of my life.
v I will celebrate the phenomenally powerful process that our planet is experiencing. There are so many precious people on this planet right now who know that there is no resolution through war and are working diligently for peace.
v I will celebrate the dynamically divine being that I am becoming, especially, on those days that it is hard for me to recognize this.
v I will celebrate the support of the Universe even if I can’t see this support.
v I will celebrate the process of growth, change, decision and each and every challenge that reaffirms my free will to make my reality.
v I will celebrate the opportunity to love and be loved.
v When I have a difficult time finding, even the absurd, to celebrate, I will extend the miracle to those I know. The miracle, being an expression of divine love, has the power to change minds, shift perceptions. As I extend the miracle,
my mind begins to change and the change brings a sense of celebratory joy.
