How often have you been so preoccupied with the current need or desire that you haven’t paid any attention to all that you possess right now? In working toward a prosperity goal it is important not to loose sight of the many wonderful things you have in your life right now. Prosperity is strengthened through the simple energy of gratitude. It is similar to watering and fertilizing your garden. Initially, you may not see the results but as you continue to use this process of gratitude, you will be the witness to a garden full of healthy plants in radiant bloom. Living a life of prosperity is nurtured in same way. All you need are the tools.

Tonal music is very different from traditional music. Whereas traditional music is solely meant to entertain, tonal musics purpose is to promote healing at all levels of experience and open up the doorway for entry into the spiritual realm of awareness.

I want to first extend to each of you and your families a wonderful, joyous and peaceful holiday! This year has brought about change for so many of us. It is often difficult to see the “good” in a situation that you believe has brought you loss. During these times it is very difficult to bring your focus into the present. But once this is accomplished you find that you are no longer looking at the “loss” but instead see the door of opportunity standing widely open before you. You enter through this door, moment by moment, while staying focused on being present. You will find an unrealized reality that far exceeds anything you have hoped to experience.

Prosperity is in the present moment. Prosperity is not an isolated event but is a principle of Gods’ presence being everywhere. It is in the present that God is manifested as love, peace, joy and everything that you could ever hope for. God is not somewhere “out there”, but right with you in the present moment. He will not leave you…he can’t leave you because you are his beloved, in whom he is well pleased. But you will only experience this presence when you are present. You will not find God (the source of your creation) in your past or future. Your past and your future are based upon time and God is not limited by our belief in time. The present moment is the portal to eternity, never changing, never ending and always present for you.

In this presence your world must reflect all that God is. Prosperity has never left you, but you may have closed your eyes to its presence. Open up your eyes and become aware of the opportunities before you. Live as the divine being that you were created as. Live with the joy, peace and love that have always been available for you. The only requirement that is asked is that you be willing to accept and receive what is before you, the opportunities and reality that where made for you. That is all. Is receiving so difficult?

We have become so accustomed to feeling that our accomplishments must be evaluated by the amount of our doing. I want to suggest that our accomplishments can only be evaluated through our being in the present and receiving Gods’ love. When we are consciously joined with the only power in the Universe what could we possible need to do? In letting go of “our little self” we become a child of God. As a child of God we are protected, loved, supplied with everything that will bring us happiness.

Why would we choose for anything less than everything? Because so many of us have fallen asleep to the truth and reality of our being. We sincerely believe that our doing makes and guarantees something in our world. We have come to believe that self-sufficiency leads to freedom and we are determined to be free. We have become individuals, separate from each other, our creator, separate from the prosperity that
was meant to be ours. Is this really freedom? We are simply asked to change our minds. We are asked only to practice being present. The practice seems to be very simple, but practicing being present will be the most difficult task that you will ever be asked to achieve. Why? We have allowed thoughts about our past and future to keep us in a place where the present moment can not be experienced! Can we let those thoughts go! How do we begin this practice?

1). Spending some part of our time in the stillness (a place where we let go of every thought and listen for the voice of God to instruct us in our moments).
2). Meditation with the purpose of connecting with the presence of God.
3). Forgiveness-letting go of past thoughts and beliefs.

In order for change to come into our lives we much first prepare a space for it to occupy. We attract to us those qualities that we have opened up a place to receive. Are you willing to start this day with a new way to experience what you want? Prosperity is here. Gods’ love is here. Where are you?

The Difference between Apples and Pears

This month is a celebratory one for me. Thirteen years ago I received my Doctorate degree in Metaphysics. Metaphysics is a thought system that explores reality beyond the physical. The study of “meta” has taken me on a journey far beyond that which I thought was possible. I began my study shortly after I had completed, for the first time, ACIM-A Course in Miracles. Since I began, they became my philosophy for living and experiencing this world. I am experiencing myself as very different.

Several weeks past I had a short but very interesting email exchange with a dear friend. The topic was about “spirituality”. I realized that my friend and I had very different ideas about what spirituality was/is! But at that same instance I also realized that there are numerous definitions of the term and I also knew that I did not personally identify with most of these definitions. To me, spirituality is the search, exploration and experience of what it means to be spirit. If there has been any purpose in my life, even at times that I didn’t recognize my search, it has been this one thing. I came into this life with a strong remembrance and experience of being spirit. Throughout my life, I have experienced thousands of events that have given my experiences further affirmations of what I am…spirit.

During the course of the email dialogue with my friend she asked me several questions. 1). Did I not need the same things that everyone else needed? 2). Was I so different or “special”? My only reponse at that time was to tell my friend that I loved her! My response was not meant to minimize or disregard her questions but I needed some time…time to really sit with the questions. The questions brought up several responses within me and I wanted to answer without offense or to paint a picture of my “specialness”. I do not believe that I am special but I do know that my intentions and purpose are not popular nor accepted beliefs. If I was not totally aware of this, my sitting with these questions brought about a clarity that left little doubt about my non-traditional thought system.

The answer to the first question is both a yes and a no. Yes, I do have a physical form and exist, primarily, in this world and so many of my needs are the same as anyone else. More importantly for me, in having come into an awareness of my spiritness, my needs are fulfilled completely. I am complete. The answer to the second question is an answer of differences…The difference between an Apple and a Pear. An Apple seeks to know, experience and understand what it means to be spirit. A Pear seeks to re-affirm their idenity as a physical being (human) in a physical environment (earth), and within a cultural framework that defines their right to participate in goods and services.

An Apple, may be aware that it is spirit, but this awareness is not enough to fully embrace what it believes that it is and so it seeks for knowledge that will affirm that existence. This knowledge may not be readily available for the awakening apple but if its’ desire and intentions are firm and their seeking is sincere, the knowledge will open up to them and their thoughts and beliefs will change. They will connect and allow themselves to be guided and directed by their inner voice and in time they will begin to phase out the voice of the ego. They will begin a practice of being present, moment by moment, and will begin to a experience peace within them that removes fear, sadness and pain. As they continue their practice they will begin to focus less on their physical body, less on the appearances of all physical things and their practice will become one of gratitude and praise and their life will become very different because of this. The apple will gradually become aware that the world that they thought they were living was just a dream (illusion). A dream that they are beginning to awaken from. A dream that far surpasses their memories of all that they thought they were and opens up the door of infinite reality of their creation. They begin to experience a freedom that expands far beyond their previous limited perceptions. They know that they are supported, loved and guided through the assistance of all of the Awakened Ones, they are never alone.

A Pear only knows what it is as a body(human), defines that body as a personality(ego) and experiences that body in the realm of its’ environment.
The Pear may know that some part of it is spirit but has a very difficult time defining or locating that spiritness of itself. The Pears’ primary goals and needs are based on what is required for the well being of the body and fulfilling their personality(ego) needs. They base their existence on doing, accomplishing and success with the fear of potential failure. They believe that they are alone in their efforts and have little or no experience of a presence beyond what they recognize as reality. To the Pear this is reality. To think or believe anything different is foolish. They rely heavily on their memories of the past and view the future as something holding potential fear which they work to avoid. To the Pear peace, love and happiness all lie outside of their ability to control and at best, these concepts, are temporary.

These thought systems are completely opposite and the only commonality that they share is an experience of being in a body. For both of these thought systems the experience and perception is total. The Apple sees and experiences only other Apples; the Pear sees and experiences only Pears. The Apple holds no thoughts of “specialness”. Apples’ know the totality of creation. They know that “Pears” are merely Apples pretending to be something other than what they are. Apples’ can express only love toward Pears (recognizing the divinity of all creation); or compassion knowing that they can change their experiences whenever they choose. The thought systems are different and so are the experiences. The one offers only limitation, struggle and pain; the other offers freedom, joy, peace and a knowing of love.

The path of the Apple is very simple but it requires a total surrender of the past. It requires the willingness to be present moment by moment and to receive and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit-the voice of God. The surrendering of the past is merely the willingness to surrender nothing in order to receive everything.

APRIL 2008 NEWSLETTER

For the last several months there has been no newsletter. I have done very little in the way of communicating. My telephone rings, I answer and a voice starts immediately talking non-stop and when there appears to be a slight pause, and I attempt to respond the person then tells me that they are very busy and have to go. After several of these types of telephone calls I realize that I am being asked to listen. Not respond in any way, or to share the events in my life, just to listen. This is a different role that is being offered to me, one that I have not experienced previously. In taking on this role, I have found that I am experiencing life as an observer. Normally, even while practicing being present and having a still mind, I joyously love to participate in the life that is unfolding around me. Observing has not taken my joy or love of life but I am very aware that there is a greater degree of detachment from the events, encounters, and information within me.

In writing this newsletter I am also aware of a degree of sadness I am feeling within me. Right now I feel that my words won’t be heard and that there are few who would receive this message. It has been easy to procrastinate and avoid the message that I feel that I am being asked to bring. But I know that in being the messenger I am asked to deliver the words regardless of how it will be received.

As I have moved through my days the last several months, I have observed the lack of smiling faces. As I approach the many that I meet on my travels, my smile is greeted with a blank, glaze-like expression in their eyes. Very few respond but I hear their thoughts. Their thoughts convey the message of fear, pain, hopelessness and despair with occasional sprinkle of desperate hope. Hoping that someone, somewhere will arrive and turn the course of this world around. I see their auras and feel their energy. Their auras are mottled with shades of yellows, browns, blacks and reds revealing feelings of sadness, despair, confusion and anger. Their energy is frenetic and passively-aggressively ready to meet and confront their life challenges. There is an air of weariness around their mouths and eyes, as though moving through their day is taking tremendous effort.

I have observed people being pulled into the 2012 doomsday/resurrection theories and watched the “professionals” pontificate on what it all means. I have observed the many professional discourses’ on global warming, terrorism, group violence and the need for more rigid security measures, the current presidency, the presidential candidates who are seeking election and wars throughout our world. I have heard the perceived problems but I have as yet to hear any unified solutions.

The role of observer may seem to be a solitary pursuit. Yet, I have been astounded at the degree of joining, with the awakened, that fills my heart to overflowing with love and a greater degree of compassion than I have ever experienced! Through them I am learning and remembering what my true function is…forgiveness. I am so thankful for the abundance of love and compassion that is being held for all of us! In reflecting on my observations, I am aware of the critical need and the importance of love and compassion for this world. So many are lost in their nightmares and believe that they are alone without help or assistance available to them. There are many others that don’t even realize that they are lost. It is only through love and compassion that they and the world can change.

We are so enmeshed in our fantasy of control, power and self-fulfillment, which is supported by our many beliefs, that we can’t see the prisons that we are erecting to enclose ourselves. We feel that we are not responsible for the world we see. We feel that the responsibility lies somewhere outside of ourselves. We feel that we know what to do to change our lives around for our greater comfort, security, health and prosperity. So we don’t ask for help, instead we insist that we can do it alone. But we cannot do or accomplish anything eternal alone. We do have help available to us simply by first asking and then by being willing to accept the help. I wonder, how many will ask? How many will receive? How else will anything change?

PATIENCE

August was a wonderful month of relaxation, re-connecting and celebrations filled with pockets of pleasant surprises. I spent a wonderful ten days in California. I want to especially thank those who came out to my class on “Purpose” and for those who made the time to come by and just say hello! It was during this time, while sitting quietly listening I heard my inner voice say the word “ Patience”. I continued sitting in the quiet hoping that more would come…but it didn’t. A couple of days later while sitting I again heard my inner voice speaking. It said the word “change” and then it once again repeated the word “Patience” but nothing more was given to me at that time. I begin to fell agitated and when I explored the reason for this emotion I became very conscious of the fact the word “patience” carried some emotional charge for me. I could remember times when I was young being told repeatedly told that I needed to be patient! I suddenly could hear the fingernails as the raked the chalkboard of my mind. I still remembered the frustration that it brought up in me. The thought that I needed to wait on someone to have what I wanted did not make me happy. But over time I matured. I finally grew up enough to realize that life was not just all about me! I went ahead and accomplished what I wanted on my own rather than ask for help because I still wasn’t okay with waiting. I felt very humble (or perhaps shameful) when I read the Biblical story of Job and his amazing patience. Whether it was a correct perception or not I believed that for Job to have achieved this state of patience he had to endure and suffer. To many his patience was a sign of virtue but to me it seemed like a place and experience of despair.

As I made a conscious decision to include into my life a place for spiritual practice, I realized that in order to come into a greater awareness that I would need to ask for help. Being very aware of my spiritual guides (my inner voice(s), I asked for their help and they agreed to assist me. I realized that going ahead alone would not help me accomplish the skills and knowledge that I desired. My inner voice helped me come into a surrender and peace about patience. Often when I asked a question or wanted an experience the answer or experience would come immediately but often it didn’t seem to come for so long that I thought that the question or experience had been forgotten. One afternoon I asked why this was occurring. My inner voice immediately responded, “that some of the questions that you asked and the experiences that you have wanted weren’t given to you at the time of your request because you weren’t ready for the answers or experiences”. He also explained to me that it was a matter of my readiness to receive and to know how the information was to be utilized. Awareness was a place of expansion and when I wasn’t given an answer or experience, there were events the moment the question was asked, unfolding to increase my awareness so that I could receive the new insights/information. I began to pay attention to those times my request seemed delayed and I became very aware of different and unusual events and circumstances that began to reshape my perceptions. When I finally received an answer or experience it came in a way that was easily understood and was integrated with very little effort. Patience had its’ own rewards and I felt blessed in so many ways.

A couple days after I had arrived home I was sitting on the patio in the silence. My inner voice spoke to me again repeating the word “Patience.” Before I could take a breath he continued,” Patience is an affirmation of faith that you have in your Father to answer your every need and desire!”
I realized, in that moment, that I was being asked to be patient. Not from a place of dread and despair but from a place of joyous anticipation knowing that my needs and desires are answered. I knew that I merely needed to be present, holding the affirmation in my mind and not allowing any other appearances to weaken my faith.

As the month of September begins to come to a close it has been a time of focus on my practice of patience. It seems that the energy of change has surrounded me and I have been in gratitude for the gift of patience. The affirmation of faith that was given me has kept me in a state of peace and happiness regardless of appearances around me. I know that the outcome will be more than I hoped for, more than I asked for and all that I desired.

In this moment, I sit in the silence, patiently and joyously knowing that my Father is working a plan of abundance, health, safety, peace for me and for the world!

WHAT LOVE IS…

Everyone, in some way, is seeking for love. A love that is unlimited in the giving and totally fulfilling every desire. What we are truly seeking is the connection with our Creator (God). Our Creator created through expressing eternal love to all of His created. Love is the life force that supports the Universe. All planets, stars, solar systems, galaxies beyond our ability to see or comprehend are a manifestation of love. Take a needle outside during the night. Look at the sky then look at the needle. What you see is equivalent to the end point of the needle as to what the heavens actually hold! Just as our Creator manifested the heavens his creations also include each of us, boundless, unlimited, created in love, surrounded by love, supported lovingly. If we really realized this statement of our creation would we not know love? Would it not be our every moment-by-moment experience? Would not ourselves and the World be radically different?

The reason that mankind, as a whole, has not yet had this experience is because we had forgotten what love is! We have defined love as an emotional occurrence. We believe that the ability to love is located somewhere in our physical form, which directs our

feelings to establish how love must be experienced. We don’t remember our loving connection to our Creator because we focus on a physical feeling or experience. Love is not a feeling…is not an emotion! Love extends far beyond what we can physically experience in the physical world.

Love is an expression, which must create like itself. Love is present everywhere, even here in the illusion of a world separated from its’ Creator. Love is an is-ness! It exists all of the time because it is eternal. Love is life and as you experience love you are enlivened to live fully, freely and completely. Love expresses itself as peace and peace is a condition of joy. In Love there is nothing impossible to us. In Love we manifest all of what we desire. In Love, feelings of limitation, barriers, challenges, and every other thing that we feel we disappears. In Love all things are healed because love is a condition of wholeness and blesses every part with wellness and life. Love provides the environment for growth and expansion far beyond what our minds can conceive or our hearts wish for. Love, being eternal, constantly and consistently supports all life and is abundant in all things! Love is beauty, radiance and Light! In its’ presence darkness dissolves and all things are made new! The power of love is unlimited (again think of the night sky). We have equated love as something else! In our belief systems we have made Love personal, physical and very limited and we weep for its’ loss.

The remembrance of Love can only be found in your Mind (soul, essence, spirit etc.) In connecting with this remembrance you begin a connection with the Creator, which extends of all of creation. In this connection is the remembrance of your creation and your power to co-create. In this connection are all things healed. In this connection peace begins to become a present reality. In this connection there is nothing impossible.
This connection brings unlimited and overflowing joy not only for yourself but also for everyone around you. Peace extends from you and prosperity is a given fact and will manifest in your life abundantly.

The love you have been seeking has always been and always will be in your mind. All that is necessary is the willingness to receive what was eternally given to you. A willingness to forgive (to relinquish your past thoughts, beliefs and actions) and receive your inheritance as the Creators’ created! Accessing the part of your mind that remembers love can be done through prayer, meditation, contemplation and coming into the silent spaces of your mind to receive.

A Course in Miracles states: ‘Simply do this: Be still and lay aside all thoughts of what you are and what God is; all concepts you have learned about the world; all images you

hold about yourself. Empty your mind of everything it thinks is either true or false, or good or bad, of every thought it judges worthy and all the ideas of which it is ashamed. Hold onto nothing. Do not bring with you one thought the past has taught, nor one belief you ever learned before from anything. Forget this world, forget this course, and come with wholly empty hands unto your God.’ ACIM workbook pg. 360

Love, being unlimited, will flow from you blessing everything and everyone in your world…‘You need not know the way to Him. Your part is simply to allow all obstacles that you have interposed between the Son and God the Father to be quietly removed forever. God will do His part in joyful and immediate response. Ask and receive…Through every opened door His Love shines outward from its home within and lightens up the world in innocence. ACIM workbook page 360 I offer you a visualization that is guaranteed to change every condition in your life: Sit quietly. Try to move distractions from your mind. Breathe deeply. Imagine that a stream of Love is now flowing through your mind. See this stream of Love filling every part of your physical body until it flows down out your feet into the earth. Then see this stream of Love blessing the earth, everyone you know, every event, situation or difficulty that you may be experiencing now. Then see this stream of Love reaching out and extending into the world. When you feel complete with this visualization give thanks for the experience of Love manifesting now in your world!

This visualization does not take a lot of time but its’ effects are life changing. How often you do this visualization will determine how willing you are to experience a different life;
How willing you are to truly live life abundantly, joyously and peacefully. In remembering Love, we remember our Creator and Ourselves. I offer this newsletter with love, recognizing the light that you are and the radiance of your becoming.
