If you look at the world today there appears to be wars, devastation through out the world, grief and sorrow. I know that our prayers have been going out affiirming for peace, joy, healing and prosperity for our planet and for ourselves, our friends and families. It may appear that nothing has changed and there is no reason for hope, that somehow the change that we want will not happen.

I have stressed the importance of stilling our thoughts and being present,moment by moment. Our minds are so amazingly powerful. Unfortunately, most of us remain totally unaware that the power of our minds is found in our thoughts. Every thought we think will manifest somewhere in our outer experience, our body, our environments, our relationships or in our finances. It will not matter whether the thoughts are positive or negative or a mixture of both…these thought will manifest. We take our thoughts for granted and rarely place importance on the power that is inherent within them. This lack of awareness is the reason, I believe, that illness or disease of any nature remains as part of our experience. We look for other causes for our discomfort but rarely do we consider that it is only through our thoughts that these experiences have come into our lives. It is only through our thoughts that these experiences remain a constant in our lives. The majority of our thoughts are from the past…they replay over and over again until they manifest… or we change our minds and begin to think new thoughts.

Healing happens when the change is made from an old thinking pattern to new thinking pattern. Healing, regardless of the circumstances or the needs, can only happen when we consciously and willingly begin to change our minds about our past way of thinking. This change is not necessarily an easy one. It takes focus, determination, persistence and practice to change thinking patterns. But you can change them! This then is the message…Listen, make the changes and change what you are experiencing in you your lives. Not ready or willing to make the change? Well…then joyfully accept the life that you are making and expect more of the same!

I’ve been writing the articles on this website for over a decade. I have used this format to bring the message that I have received. In the last year and 1/2 the format became more of a blog. Today I am beginning a change that hopefully will be more interactive. So I will begin to share more of myself on a daily basis through the blog format. So stop by often and feel free to leave a comment or ask a question.

Today I am wearing blinders. I look neither to my left or right or to my past or future. I stay present to the goals and desires that I want to manifest. I nurture that which I desire. Today I am blessed as a child of God.

Today I celebrate myself! Not for achieving all the success that I want, but for being willing to move continually and persistently toward the success that I know is mine! I celebrate my willingness to move forward moment by moment…step by step, open to receive and accept all that the Universe is holding for me! I am awesome!

Today I give as I will receive. Moving through this day I give thoughts of love, abundance, health and peace to everyone that I know and everyone that I meet. I receive love, prosperity, health, peace and assurance…what more can I ask for?

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass….It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Very often we forget that life is not just a journey but a journey that is filled with adventure. An adventure means to me an exciting and remarkable experience that takes me beyond what I thought was possible. It tells me that there are opportunities that I never considered possible before. I can remain in the shelter that I have found that would protect from the storm and moan and complain about the delay. Or, I can venuture out in the rain and be cleansed of my past beliefs and blessed by the new opportunities that are being presented to me. In the cleansing and blessing energy of the rain, I can dance for joy and promise of new freedoms, new opportunites and new pleasures. I can dance knowing that once the storm has passed my world will be filled with light and goodness.

A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is designed to bring individuals a greater experience of peace. The course is non-denominational even though its’ terms are thought to be christian. The language of the Course is Universal. It is not something that can be read and then understood but must be practiced in order for the meaning to come alive in a way that it can be lived. The purpose of ACIM is to awaken the memory of who you are in truth and this truth empowers you to be that awakened one!

I want to first extend to each of you and your families a wonderful, joyous and peaceful holiday! This year has brought about change for so many of us. It is often difficult to see the “good” in a situation that you believe has brought you loss. During these times it is very difficult to bring your focus into the present. But once this is accomplished you find that you are no longer looking at the “loss” but instead see the door of opportunity standing widely open before you. You enter through this door, moment by moment, while staying focused on being present. You will find an unrealized reality that far exceeds anything you have hoped to experience.

Prosperity is in the present moment. Prosperity is not an isolated event but is a principle of Gods’ presence being everywhere. It is in the present that God is manifested as love, peace, joy and everything that you could ever hope for. God is not somewhere “out there”, but right with you in the present moment. He will not leave you…he can’t leave you because you are his beloved, in whom he is well pleased. But you will only experience this presence when you are present. You will not find God (the source of your creation) in your past or future. Your past and your future are based upon time and God is not limited by our belief in time. The present moment is the portal to eternity, never changing, never ending and always present for you.

In this presence your world must reflect all that God is. Prosperity has never left you, but you may have closed your eyes to its presence. Open up your eyes and become aware of the opportunities before you. Live as the divine being that you were created as. Live with the joy, peace and love that have always been available for you. The only requirement that is asked is that you be willing to accept and receive what is before you, the opportunities and reality that where made for you. That is all. Is receiving so difficult?

We have become so accustomed to feeling that our accomplishments must be evaluated by the amount of our doing. I want to suggest that our accomplishments can only be evaluated through our being in the present and receiving Gods’ love. When we are consciously joined with the only power in the Universe what could we possible need to do? In letting go of “our little self” we become a child of God. As a child of God we are protected, loved, supplied with everything that will bring us happiness.

Why would we choose for anything less than everything? Because so many of us have fallen asleep to the truth and reality of our being. We sincerely believe that our doing makes and guarantees something in our world. We have come to believe that self-sufficiency leads to freedom and we are determined to be free. We have become individuals, separate from each other, our creator, separate from the prosperity that
was meant to be ours. Is this really freedom? We are simply asked to change our minds. We are asked only to practice being present. The practice seems to be very simple, but practicing being present will be the most difficult task that you will ever be asked to achieve. Why? We have allowed thoughts about our past and future to keep us in a place where the present moment can not be experienced! Can we let those thoughts go! How do we begin this practice?

1). Spending some part of our time in the stillness (a place where we let go of every thought and listen for the voice of God to instruct us in our moments).
2). Meditation with the purpose of connecting with the presence of God.
3). Forgiveness-letting go of past thoughts and beliefs.

In order for change to come into our lives we much first prepare a space for it to occupy. We attract to us those qualities that we have opened up a place to receive. Are you willing to start this day with a new way to experience what you want? Prosperity is here. Gods’ love is here. Where are you?

As I sit here, anticipating the approaching Thanksgiving Holiday, I find myself giving thanks for all of the little pleasures in my world. I am especially thankful for all of my friends and relatives and the many blessings that they share with me throughout my moments! Happy Thanksgiving!

I was blessed to be in your presence in October and during this time we joined in the aggreement to dedicate time to affirm the vision statement for the Center. I have been joining with each of you, every morning, in affirming the vision statement of harmony, balance, equality, simplicity and expansion for your Center, for your families, your community,for yourselves,for our country and the world. The vision that we affirm is needed in every fabric of our world.

I know that once you set a new vision statement several things will occur:(1). Everything in your world will appear to suddenly be worse than it was before you started. We forget that in order to experience the new we must first release our old belief patterns and for a time things might appear to be chaotic. Hold fast! Continue to affirm what you sincerely desire rather than be caught up in the temporary and meaningless appearances. The appearing chaos is meaningless because the power that is held in the affirmation is supported and desired by many and must manifest! (2). After affirming this over a period of time it is easy to get distracted and forget the time and intention that we have commited to previously. Please don’t stop your vision affirmation until you have the results of the manifestation. Remember this vision affirmation is not just for your center but will extend out and bless everyone, everywhere abundantly. What we call forth in our vision affirmation is a global transformation that will result in the manifestation of balance,harmony, equality, simplicity and expansion that are world will experience. We are the means for change! Let us please continue to join together in seeing this made manifest.

Don’t break the elastic!
In April , Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older.
And, there on television, she said it was ‘exciting…’
Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day…..like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

Maya Angelou said this:
‘I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.’

‘I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.’

‘I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.’

‘I’ve learned that making a ‘living’ is not the same thing as ‘making a life.’

‘I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.’

‘I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back….’
